Miss L’s Boudoir Experience | Edmonton Boudoir Photography
this one’s for the mom’s
If there’s a group of people who often forget about themselves, it’s definitely the Edmonton moms. Whether you’re a new mom, mom to be, mom of several kids or a mom of kids who are all grown up now, you’re likely always thinking about your kids, right? Think about the last time you took your kids to the park or to a playdate, think about the last time you did something for your child that brought them true joy. I’m going to guess you do these things for your kids as much as you possibly can no matter their age.
But what about you? When was the last time you did something for yourself? When was the last time you took yourself on a playdate? When was the last time you truly got to PLAY?
As adults this isn’t something we think about often but just because we’ve grown and birthed tiny humans, doesn’t mean we’re not allowed to play. We’re allowed to let loose, we’re allowed to have fun and we’re allowed to do things for ourselves that bring us, and us alone joy.
Your boudoir session with me at my Edmonton boudoir photography studio is just that. It the ultimate playdate with whatever version of yourself you’ve been dying to express, it’s a time for you to come play dress up in my boudoir client closet and put reality on pause for a moment. Your Edmonton boudoir session is the ultimate self care day reserved just for you. We all deserve that but especially the Edmonton moms, you guys are the true superheros walking this earth.
The absolutely gorgeous babe featured in this blog is a badass mom of 2 littles and she decided to say f*ck it and do something for herself. Let’s dive in to what she had to say about her boudoir experience in my Edmonton boudoir studio.
her kind words
How / where did you hear about Tay's Photo's and Beauty?
I’ve done previous portrait sessions with Taylor
Why did you book a boudoir session?
To document how far I've come, celebrate myself and find confidence in my femininity after having children.
What drew you to my work specifically?
Inclusivity, and just the way Taylor makes people feel comfortable when she works with them
How did you feel leading up to / before the session?
So so excited! A bit nervous, it had been 6-7 years since my last boudoir style session, and my body has changed after kids.
What are some feelings you felt at the beginning, middle and end of your session?
Overall excitement, confident and comfortable. Stunned at the end for a sneak peek, I haven't seen myself that way in years!
What were some feelings you had when viewing your final images or products?
Disbelief, I don't see myself glammed up like that anymore. I truly didn't recognize the woman in those photos. It made me look at myself in a refreshed light, and that was my goal
If you could pick one word to describe your entire boudoir experience, what would it be?
Empowering
What would you say to friends or family that have thought about doing a boudoir session?
Book it!
What's something you would like to feel looking back at these photos in 5, 10, 20 or even 30+ years?
I want to look back and think, "damn, she is confident, she is sexy, she is powerful!"
Would you do another boudoir session in the future? And for what milestone / event or just because?
Absolutely! Just because I want to and I deserve it!
