Miss C’s Edmonton Boudoir Experience

Coming in hot

with another boudoir photography review from one of the beautiful babes the graced my Edmonton boudoir studio last month! After your boudoir experience is all said and done and you’ve received (and loved) your final images and products, I send out a questionnaire to all my babes who consent to sharing their images and experience here on the blog! The purpose of these boudoir photography review blogs is to bring you first hand accounts from REAL women who’ve had a boudoir session with me. Boudoir photography is a very sensitive and vulnerable style of photography so hearing other women’s experiences before diving in for yourself, can be so helpful!

In this blog we’ll hear what miss C had to say about her boudoir session in my Edmonton boudoir studio and then keep scrolling to check out more photos from her session!

How did you hear about Tay's Photo's and Beauty?

I met Taylor back when Perks coffee house just opened up and I was a regular(yes, it was an everyday thing). I heard her talking about hooping one day and began to follow her instagram to watch her journey with hooping! Along the way Taylor began her photography journey and I just loved watching her follow her dreams and create Tay’s Photo’s and Beauty!

Why do you love boudoir?

I love boudoir sessions because they helped me gain my confidence back seeing myself through someone else’s eyes! I started doing boudoir when I lacked self confidence in myself. It wasn’t about appreciating my body, but more for appreciating who I was as a person. I was always labeled as sassy or spicy throughout the years and boudoir helped me own that part of myself. I love the art and creativity that every picture captures so perfectly, our bodies are art and they should always be appreciated.

How did you feel leading up to the session?

Leading up the the session I was nervous to work with a new photographer and beauty artist but overall I was just excited. I had never gotten my hair and makeup done for a photo session before so that felt like a treat!

How did you feel during your session?

During my session I felt so comfortable and confident. @Sheenaraebeauty made me feel like a total goddess with soft glam makeup and she listened to what I liked and don’t like as far as makeup and hairstyles go and Taylor explained every pose so flawlessly it felt easy to get into each position and absolutely rock it. Taylor also went above and beyond and even had styles of lingerie picked out for me as to what vibe she thought I would like and she completely nailed it!

What were some feelings you had when viewing your final images or products?

When I was viewing my final images I was in complete awe. Taylor’s editing style is so moody and dreamy. I absolutely loved every single picture and wish I could have kept them all! I struggled to choose my favourite images, which overall is a good problem to have! I will cherish these photos and the memory of that day forever!

If you could pick one word to describe your entire boudoir experience, what would it be?

Empowering

What would you say to friends or family that have thought about doing a boudoir session?

When I talk to my friends and family about doing a boudoir session I assure them that their experience is theirs alone. They don’t have to do anything that they aren’t comfortable with, or even be completely naked/in lingerie if they don’t want to. Boudoir is not about having naked or sexual photos of yourself, it’s about finding the confidence in yourself and seeing yourself through someone else’s eyes. It’s so easy to get down on yourself for the way your body looks or to compare yourself to others who may have the body you desire but boudoir focuses on the best parts of yourself!

Would you do another boudoir session in the future? And for what milestone / event or just because?

I will absolutely be doing more boudoir sessions and I will be doing more in the future just because I love to celebrate myself for just being me!
